Azania Bungalows ** ( * )

Located at the Cocles beach, about 1.5km south of Puerto Viejo de Límon, the hotel Azania offers 8 spacious and tastfully decorated wooden bungalows in Caribbean style, surrounded by a well-kept tropical garden. All rooms feature one queensize bed and two single beds, private bathroom/hotwater, moscitonet, ceiling fan, refrigerator and a teracce with hammock. The reception and breakfast area are located in the rancho- „clubhouse“.

Cariblue ***

Cariblue is located on Cocles Bay , just a mile away from the typical village of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca . The hard wood bungalows are nestled in a large tropical garden surrounded by beaches and wild tropical jungle. The spacious rooms are for two to six people, with private bathrooms and hot water, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. Cariblue offers also a house with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a furnished kitchen. Breakfast is served in a typical "Rancho" style restaurant with a palm roof. There is also a snack bar and a souvenir shop.

Selva Bananito Lodge ***

Selva Bananito Lodge is located at the foot of Cerro Mochila, belonging to the Matama mountain range, which is part of the Cordillera de Talamanca . Manú, the farm on which the lodge is built, partly borders La Amistad National Park. About two thirds (approx. 2,000 acres ) are primary highland rain forest, protected as a private preserve. One third of the farm is devoted to low-impact agriculture and cattle management.

The lodge's 11 cabins have been carefully designed to their surrounding landscape and are sitting on a little hill with a magnificent view of Cerro Mochila on one side and the Rio Bananito on the other. They are built in traditional Caribbean style on stilts; the construction material was obtained from wood discarded by loggers from trees already cut for other purposes. The rooms dispose of solar-heated hot water and gas lamps are provided for reading. In the bar and restaurant, candles create a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Suerre Caribe Punta Uva***

This hotel is located at Playa Uva, right in front of one of Costa Rica 's most beautiful Caribbean beaches.
